Professor Panayotis Zamaros, PhD, is an experienced administrator, consultant and former MD and founder of a hotel school, who has been professionally involved for more than 25 years with the business side of educational organizations especially strategic management, Faculty management and development, recruitment, fair participation, marketing, advertising, and events management. Owing to his sense of precision and high quality expectations, his impressive contribution lies with educational quality assurance through ISO certifications (9001, 29990), validations with British Universities (Essex) and organisations (IMCA) and accreditations with CECI, ACBSP (qualified evaluator), IACBE, EduQua as well as AAQ.
Currently, Prof. Zamaros is Academic Counsellor at IFM Business School, Geneva, responsible for quality assurance and accreditations management, coordinating Faculty, running academic affairs, student councelling, career councelling, as well as Microsoft Teams administration and library management.
Prof. Zamaros is an experienced educator, having been involved with teaching for 40 years! The last 30 years he has taught business and hotel administration to master’s and bachelor’s students at Swiss higher education schools of the Geneva lake region and thus has been on the faculty list of notable business schools that include IFM University (CH-Geneva), Pepperdine University (CH campus Lausanne), MSB (CH Montreux), Shiller (CH Leysin) and notable hotel schools including SHMS (CH Caux), EHV-Vatel (CH Martigny) and IHBA (CH Lausanne).
Keen researcher and thinker, has also supervised masters and doctoral research at SZABIST (Pakistan), AGSB (Switzerland), ECMU (Belgium), and is often asked to act as external examiner of doctoral work in management and economics at SZABIST, Abasyn University, Capital University, Qurtuba University and Riphah International University in Pakistan.
Prof. Zamaros has earned a Ph.D. from Fairfax University (2004) in submitting a dissertation on organizational behavior, management and multidisciplinary philosophy. He has also completed work for an M.Phil. from Wales University Trinity St David (2013) in existential philosophy and the question of "being" from Parmenidis to Heidegger. He holds a M.A. in Education for school management and leadership (1999) of equivalent level to the Swiss Federal Trainer Diploma, and a B.Sc. Honors 2.1 in Social Sciences majoring in economics, politics-international relations, and critical sociology (1997), both from The Open University.
After his first publications in the 1990s, Professor Zamaros continued putting major texts together that culminated in Demythifying Management among Others (2003), From Apousia to Apousia: Difference (2007), Organizational Behavioral Studies: The Relational Approach (2011), The Faces of Parmenidis (2011), Myths as Logical Descriptions of Experience (2012), Organizational Behavior Studies: A Course & Toolkit (2016), Swiss Buisness and Contract Law (2017), Swiss Conttract and Buisness Law (2018), Droit suisse des contrats et des affaires (2019). He is thus Patron of International Journal of Organizational Behavior & Management Perspectives-Pezzotaite Journals, and Member of the Atiner editorial board.
Next to this remarkable academic and professional career, Prof. Zamaros has been involved with the music business for more than twenty years, having run recording Studio Twenty (CH Vevey) for 24 years. From 2014 to 2021 he managed Zamaros Musique (CH Belmont) that combined a music instruments shop, Music Groove, and a music school, Belmont Rock School & Conservatory through which he organised music events and concerts. The development and running of businesses, in addition to defending others on a pro bono basis or his family, has given Professor Zamaros extensive legal practice and a perspective that he has shared with students and claimants in need all along the 25 years of teaching law.
Entrepreneurial, he is a creative organiser with a whole-business acumen thus having contributed in the founding of educational institutions that include IHBA, MSB, GHBTI, as well as businesses, notably Zamaros Musique.
